“Sunrise, Sunset” is a song performed in an American musical “Fiddler on the roof”. This is a story about an old poor farmer(milkman) and his family, who are Jewish persons living in the rural area of imperial Russia and they were pressured politically at that time. In Japan, the musical was performed with Japanese language, and Hisaya Morishige acted the father of the family. I watched the American movie of originated by this musical nearly 50 years ago. The film was directed by Norman Jason, music arranged by John Williams (famous for the composer of Star Wars and Indiana Jones series). I strongly recommend you to listen this song (maybe on Youtube), if you never heard of it. You will never forget and moved by the melancholy melody.
The word of sunset are in many of songs. Perhaps, the thoughts of some strong sympathy for loneliness and sadness through one’s life could be easily expressed in words when people project the scene of sunset. I can easily remind songs, for example “Yoohiwa Akaku (Sunset glows red)” “Tabibitoyo (Dear wanderers)” and “Yoohi ga naiteiru (Sunset looks like crying)”. OMG, what an old guy I am, these are GROUP SOUNDS(Note 1). But these are very nice songs. Please try these on Youtube also, if you want.
I have several shots of just sunrise and sunset in my photo albums, so I will upload those in this blog. Nobody cannot stop the scenery change in the dawn and the dusk, so I should shoot instantly when a find nice view. Thanks for iphone camera, I could see rare and beautiful picture sometimes.
Even I travel often, but I have only one picture of sunset took at outside of Kawasaki, that is Mt Iwate-san from the city of Morioka. In my sense of beauty, I prefer the picture sunset with colored clouds than in the perfect clear sky.
Sometime clouds in a sunny day is also a nice view.
The last picture shows the UNKAI clouds covered the basin and be suggested as ocean. It was took after I looked for the chance this will be occurred.
The words sunset reminds me about Japanese film “ALWAYS San-chome no yoohi”. Maybe write about that in next time.

Yes, I’ll check this music “Sun rise, sun set” on YouTube. The story seems so interesting too. I haven’t ever read it. I’ll try it.
Ay, how enormous numbers of books I wanna read from now on!
So long!
Thank you for comment. I didn’t read the based novel yet. “Gyuunyuu-ya Devie” is the title.
Why don’t you try to find an old DVD of the film.
