As I was inspired with WBC baseball games, the TV news of Shohei Ohtani playing at Major League Baseball are on air every night and days. You may agree that all of his pitching, batting and running are great and he does not be tired. He looks as a simple and innocent baseball lover, enjoying the game and his comment after the game are always modest. So what a great guy, isn’t he?
WBCもすごかったが、それからメジャーリーグでの活躍でテレビニュースで大谷翔平見ない日はないですね。彼には疲れというものがないのでしょうか、とにかく投げる、打つ、走る全て凄さを感じますよね。尚且つ楽しんでいる表情が天真爛漫で、インタビューで発言が謙虚、どこまですごいんでしょうか。
The Rahmen shop or Chinese restaurant where I am sharing with you, has a strong impression by its signboard “SHOUHEI”. It locates 1km west of Shinjuku station (The area is called Nishi-Shinjuku). I was walking on the road to the hospital for the vaccination for diseases in African countries, and suddenly I saw the signboard. I stopped and looked up the shop, wondering it belongs something of Shohei Ohtani, however the name in Chinese letter was different. And I could see the shop is opened for 45 years, so its totally different. The alphabet signboard is “SHOUHEI”, so the signboard is a good advertisement of this shop, accidentally. The red color of the signboard makes imaginations of same of the team Angles. Anyway I took there for my lunch
ここで紹介するラーメン屋（町中華）は、看板のショウヘイで強く印象があるお店です。場所は新宿西口から青梅街道に沿って１km強のところ。私自身は東京医科大学病院に海外渡航の予防接種を受けるために新宿から歩いていたら、お店の看板が目に止まったのです。大谷翔平に関連があるか、と思わず立ち止まってしまったんですが、よく見ると「翔平」ではなく「昌平」でした。しかも創業45周年というのだから、これは無関係です。でもローマ字で書かれているのはSHOUHEIですから、偶然とはいえ、関係ありと感じさせる、うまい広告です。看板の赤色がエンゼルスの色みたいだし。とにかく昼食を食べよう、と入ってみました。
I ordered the TSUKEMEN (You have to pay first at automatic ticket machine. Cash only). When I was guided to the seat, I just saw many business persons were eating the same one. The noodle is hand made, a little bit thick, uneven length, and curly set on the screen are good. It looks like Zaru Soba. So started to taste, the texture and mixed taste with the Rahmen soup were so nice. On the lunch time, I could take half size of fried rice (Han chahan), It was also very good. So as you can see the big volume and the price is only Yen850, very reasonable.They serve many kinds of popular Chinese foods, so I want to visit again and try another meals, like Dumpling (with a Jock of beer), Mabo Tofu.
つけ麺をオーダー（ここは入口で券売機で先に支払います）しました。席に着いたら、サラリーマン風の人でいっぱい、やはりつけ麺を食べている方が多かった。このお店は麺が手打ちで、少し太めです。長さが不揃い、ちじれがいい感じです。ざるそばのようです。食べてみると食感がよく、濃いめのスープが絡んで、とても美味しい。ランチのサービスメニューで半チャーハン付きで、チャーハンもうまい。写真のようなボリュームで¥850はとても安いです。ラーメン以外の町中華メニューも豊富でした。今度は別の料理, 例えば餃子（勿論ビールつき）麻棒豆腐、も食べてみたい。
